MARY DULAT AGE 97 OF FOREST GROVE RD. IN ROBINSON TOWNSHIP DIED PEACEFULLY IN HER HOME, WEDNESDAY APRIL 13, . MARY WAS THE LAST LIVING MEMBER OF THE DULAT FAMILY THE EMIGRATED FROM UKRAINE IN THE EARLY 19's SHE WAS RAISED IN THE McKEES ROCKS BOTTOMS DURING THE INFLUX OF SLAVICS INTO THE REGION. MARY SPENT MOST OF HER LIFE IN MASSACHUSETTS SERVING THE UKRAINAIN CATHOLIC CHURCH AND THE MANY IMMIGRANTS THAT CAME FROM ABROAD. IT WAS SAID THE SHE WAS A ROLE MODEL FOR YOUNG WOMEN OF THE PARISHES TO WHICH SHE BELONGED.SHE RETIRED FOR WORKING UNITED TECHNOLOGIES CORP. WHERE SHE WAS A TECHNICIAN WORKING ON CLASSIFIED GOVERNMENT PROJECTS. SHE PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER INSEPARABLE TWIN, OLGA WOVCHKO, HER SISTERS STELLA DEJOHN,, HELEN DESIDERIO, IRENE TRIMMER, AND BROTHER PETER. SHE LIVED MOST OF HER 97 YEARS AS THE KIND AND CARING AUNT TO ALL HER NIECES AND NEPHEWS AND DURING HER WANING YEARS ALWAYS REMARKED THE VISITS FROM THE GREAT GRAND KIDS, 'THE MADE HER DAY' SHE MADE IT HER MISSION TO VISIT , CONSOLE, AND PRAY FOR ALL HER SIBLINGS IN THEIR FAILING YEARS. TO NEIGHBORS AND PASSERBYS SHE WAS KNOWN AUNT MARY AND WOULD OFTEN TOOT AS SHE WOULD SWEEP GRASS, SHOVEL SNOW, AND TEND TO HER FLOWERS. MARY WAS CARED FOR IN HER RECENT YEARS BY HER NEPHEWS JOHN WOVCHKO AND EDWARD WOVCHKO, BOTH OF WHOM SPENT MANY WONDERFUL SUMMER VACATIONS UNDER HER CARE.SHE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL FRIENDS RECEIVED FRIDAY 4-8 PM AT THE VALERIAN F. SZAL FUNERAL HOME, INC. 238 HELEN ST. McKEES ROCKS PARASTAS FRIDAY 7:30 PM FUNERAL SATURDADY 9:30 AM FOLLOWED BY LITURGY OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL IN ST JOHN THE BAPTIST UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH AT 10:00 AM
